Engagement Marketing Manager

As Engagement Marketing manager, I've consistently grown audience engagement by developing and executing analytics-informed digital marketing campaigns including automated email campaigns, personalized newsletters, and interactive social media content.
 
I develop communications strategies across MHz Choice’s email, social media, and blog to improve customer retention, maximize content reach, and improve SEO. I also foster cross-collaboration by simplifying and streamlining marketing project management processes, including maintaining the content calendar and team Canva account. Finally, I lead the marketing and creative teams to ideate paid and organic content strategies.

Michigan Public

Michigan Public (formerly Michigan Radio) is a public radio station located in Ann Arbor, MI. As Michigan's NPR News Leader, Michigan Public is the largest public radio station in the state.

Digital Communications Specialist

November 2020 - August 2023

In this role, I led the station's digital communications strategy. By building bridges between departments, I was able to better promote Michigan Public's award-winning reporting, grow its audience, and increase donations to support our nonprofit journalism.

I ensured brand consistency across digital communications, platforms, and products; I was also a key leader in the 2023 rebrand. I coordinated goal setting and strategy development for digital projects such as audience development initiatives, enterprise reporting, and podcasts. I led editorial, marketing, and fundraising email strategies, and produced newsletters that served over 45,000 subscribers with an average 37% open rate and 3% click-thru rate. 

 

Finally, I supported the rest of the digital team by pitching in on social media strategy, as well as maintaining the Michigan Public website, including SEO strategy, site organization, and page management.

Digital Producer

September 2016 - November 2020

I produced a range of digital content and reporting, including breaking news and analysis of current events. I relaunched the daily newsletter which saw subscriptions double in its first six months.
